Abbie started choreographing at an early age. Some of her favorite childhood memories are sleepovers with her friends where they would make up dances to the entire soundtracks of Wicked and Chicago. That type of playfulness and enjoyment in creation continued as she began to choreograph pieces for her competition team as a high schooler. In college, Abbie took on the role of Dance Captain and Assistant Choreographer in many shows, culminating in choreographing the show A Day in Hollywood, A Night in the Ukraine her senior year. In her professional career, Abbie has choreographed many children’s productions and been the Associate Choreographer at regional theaters around the United States.

When it comes to choreography, storytelling and finding the humanness in movement is what is most important to Abbie. She loves researching and is a natural when it comes to formations and counts (she thanks her training for that), but her absolute favorite part of choreographing is to find the humor and breadth in a piece. To take a spin on one of her favorite Disney quotes, she believes that, “Anyone can dance,” and it is Abbie’s mission to create a space that is inviting, inspiring, and full to the brim with creativity, regardless of “dance ability.”
